Attention: extraordinary closure today, 12th September 2024, due to weather conditions

The Botanic Garden and Museum has been closed for the entire day due to strong wind conditions and in view of the fact that, at present, forecasts indicate possibly worsening wind conditions (up to 35-36 kts).

These conditions result in significant risk situations for visitors also considering that the trees are weighed down by the heavy rains of the recent times that were preceded by severe dry spells. This subjects the branches to mechanical stress and greater wind stress.
